Having firm abs is not all about simply exercising. It has to go with a proper diet. If you want to have abs free from fat, there are strategies you might want to know. Below are some ideas about diet to lose belly fat efficiently and quickly.

Eat Lots of Fibre. Fibre-rich foods can help you achieve firmer abs. Generally, a serving of about twenty-five grams of fibre daily is ideal. Fibre basically acts similar to a dry sponge. It combines with water in the digestive track, thus making everything inside move quickly. A cautionary note though when eating fibre: it is very important that you add foods with high-fibre content slowly. But make sure you do it consistently. This is to avoid gas from accumulating in your tummy which is not a good idea at all.

Go for High-Quality Carbs. To achieve leaner abs, try to have about 45-65 percent of carbs on your total daily calories. Do not go below 45 and do not go about 65 percent since this can cause bloating or water retention. However, try to avoid high-carb but empty-calorie food like snack cakes, candies, fast foods, or cookies since they have high content of sodium that can cause weight gain and bloating.

Drink up. Contrary to what move people believed, drinking water does not actually give you puffy abs. But drinking enough water daily can help flush away the sodium present in your body, thus resulting to less bloating.
